GPR survey of permafrost soil massif to a depth of 100 m in order to detect areas of talik zones.
Result
In the northern part of the lake, an anomalous zone was found up to a depth of 70 m, more than 1100 m in size in the north-south direction and more than 700 m in the west-east direction.
This zone of the permafrost soil massif has the characteristic features of a thawed zone.
Verification by drilling and low-resistivity logging measurements confirmed the presence of water in the wells and a good match with the contours of the talik zones previously identified. The survey depth was 80-100 m.
