In the northwestern part of the surveyed area (4), exit of a monolithic rock to depths of up to 2-3 m from the surface was localized.
In the remaining part of the surveyed area (64-144 m (5), comprising ~3/4 of the total area), the monolithic rock/fractured rock boundary descends to a depth of 15-25 m.
Value
The construction site was shifted to the yellow zone (4), as the survey showed that monolithic rock soils were located at a depth of 2-3 m instead of 15-25 m in the blue zone containing fractured rock soil. Result: significant reduction in pile foundation construction costs.
