IDENTIFICATION OF SUBSURFACE ANOMALIES

Dec. 12, 2021

Target

Inspection of a tourist camp site to identify zones of possible anomalies, the boundaries of thawed and/or frozen rocks, and groundwater levels.

Results

The camp site foundation structure has signs of a buried moraine ridge.

Zones of local anomalies are identified at a depth of up to 50 m.

The area at inspected depth is outside the permafrost zone, the lithological component of soils is thawed and plastic-frozen.

An assessment was made of the most moistened soil zone size throughout the tourist camp site.

Value

Pre-project analysis of most optimal sites for new construction.
